We have two great sandy beaches for swimming. Hop on a floaty at beach one and float down the river to the main beach. Here at the main beach we have plenty of toys to keep the adventurous type busy. You can perfect your “Cannonball” from the top of jump platform or have fun on our Aqua-Play mat. Canoe rentals are also available from this beach.
Would you prefer to relax while the kids swim? Bring a book to the main beach and while they play you can relax under one of our new tiki tables. Grab a coffee or a cold drink from the campground store.
Have your own boat? Bring it up and launch it right from the campground. Take it in and out daily or reserve dock space right here at the campground. There is over 60 miles of navigable water on the Mattawa and Upper Ottawa Rivers. No boat? No problem. We offer a fishing boat, a pontoon boat and canoes for rent.
With 2000’ feet of waterfront on the Mattawa River, you can fish right off of our shore; catching trophy sized pickerel, pike and bass. Or hop in a boat and discover your own fishing hole in the 60 miles of navigational water of the Mattawa and Upper Ottawa Rivers. The river hosts many sizable fish of many different species such as Northern Pike, Walleye, Pickerel, and more.
Whether you prefer to ride an ATV, Mountain Bike, Horseback ride or hike, we have an excellent trail system from the town of Mattawa. Our most prominent system is the Voyageur Multi-Use Trail System or VMUTS. The VMUTS system has a range of beginner to difficult terrain only minutes from Sid Turcotte Park.
